Fun Weekend

Getting ready to go to church with Mawmaw, Pawpaw and Katie
Opening the easter basket from Auntie Lydia

We have had a wonderful week and weekend with the exception of bad weather on Thursday. We experienced our first tornado warning away from Emma. She was safe at Ms. Holly's house and we were in the stairwell at the office. Let's hope this is not going to be the type of weather we are constantly experiencing this spring. That night when we got home Emma opened her first Easter basket from her Auntie Lydia. She received all sorts of things but the best thing of all was a mickey mouse cd. On Friday night my parents and niece came up to help us fix the tires on the lawn mower and have dinner since Saturday was the big Mule Day event here in Columbia and traffic was going to be terrible. We had a great time and can't wait till Katie spends a couple of days with us next week while on Spring Break. We hope we will be able to go catch the new Hannah Montana movie since Katie is a huge fan and since Bryan was on set while they filmed in Franklin. Saturday we headed out of the craziness of Columbia and went to Nashville to shop at Opry Mills. We had an experience getting there but it was fun. We realized when we hit Franklin that we had forgot to put the stroller back in the car and had to stop and buy a stroller on the way. Bryan did a great job putting it together in Target parking lot. We found lots of great deals at Osh Gosh and we even found Emma a little bathing suit for this summer's adventures. Today was spent around the house trying to get the yard mowed before the rain hit. It took several hours and work on both the lawn mowers but it is finished. This week is our spring break. I will get to spend the whole week home with Emma and Bryan will be with us on Thursday and Friday. We are looking forward to our first Easter with Emma and can't wait to post pictures of her in her dress and with her Easter Basket. It is hard to believe but our Angel girl will be turning 5 months on Tuesday. She is rolling side to side, is constantly holding onto her toes, jabbering and trying to get up on her little knees and hands now. We are trying baby foods and for the most part she is loving it. We still have not got the teeth through the skin yet but we are expecting that to happen anytime now. We hope everyone has a wonderful week and a safe and Happy Easter.

Yikes! I'm glad you guys had better weather for Easter! We heard about the tornadoes! We had some heavy rain and strong wind, but no sirens thank goodness! And what is Mule Day? I can only imagine! Good luck with the teething! That's one thing I'm not looking forward to!
